Services

Growsgreen Home was born out of our landscape design clients’ requests for help with their interior spaces. Having worked on several home interiors, we were honored at their trust and desire to bring the Growsgreen exterior perspective into their homes. Our goals for any space are for it to flow well, feel calm, and be a place of respite. Many of the nooks and crannies of our spaces can be converted into features.

Our services include ways to help you create a sense of cohesion using material selection, color suggestions, and furniture choices into the space. If you need more structural reconfiguration, we can recommend a contractor or architect to help with the bones of the project while working on the finishes with you. Or, you may be in the throes of a home remodel and would like help with the finishes of your new space.

The new flooring choice in this home really brightened it up. Simple details, such as the flush tread and riser, create an interesting but pared-down entry. By mixing materials from different design eras, we are not just stuck replicating a look. Instead each object is chosen to set off the qualities of other finishes and elements in the immediate space and throughout the home.

We enjoy combining the client’s finds with ours. This client loves plants and organic natural elements. We used her sun-dusted skull on the wall to shake up the Craftsman feel and reference the chalky white we chose to paint the fireplace tiles. Adding ceramics from local artist Zoe Dering and cuttings from the client’s garden, she can change the elements in the space as she creates new vignettes against our moody paint choice above the fireplace. Keeping the original sconces was a choice we made, and they are balanced by a modern glass and brass ceiling pendant.

In this home we chose art pieces that reflected nature, or were actual natural materials. The indigo dye on linen is a living organism that the artist Mineral Workshop cultures and uses in all her work. Pairing it with some white French vintage bottles and collected pods, the textures all work to create a serene corner. The light is subtle and the clear glass is sculptural but does not overpower the vignette.
